Checking in on you and sharing a perfect evening (if you’re near the Carolina coast). Wherever you are, we hope your evening is just as beautiful.
We’ve been thinking about the weighty matters of today and how the most difficult moments can yield extraordinary journeys. Singularly, our stories tell the unique path that led us here, and each story is rich in its own right, but together, our testimonies tell a broader and more complex picture of growth over time and maturity through all kinds of varied experiences.
Some found this way gradually, while others—maybe one choice changed their whole course in life. Whatever our paths look like, each one brought us here.
God calls people who might have little in common physically and are separated by years, experiences, and lifestyles—yet our lives converge in the greatest way imaginable through God as HE reaches across every class, race, gender, and city calling His people to come out.
Even though it feels like everything in life we once had placed together was scattered or blown up six weeks ago, the good news is we still have all the pieces, and we will survive this moment because God is going to keep us. The world may not know about tomorrow, but we do have a sense of forecast. We have no idea what details will happen next, but we can tell you that we are giving thanks to Him for blessing us through it.
You know what makes the people of God most peculiar?
We sing the victory song before those on the outside can see the victory. They ask: “What are they singing about? What victory? We don’t see anything.”
Elder taught us that like a tree planted by the water, we shall not be moved. Like roots of a tree, to get stronger, you have to go deeper.
Sister Ethel and Brother Philip are singing a beautiful song that will spur us on with the softest spirit and give us a way to end our day in praise with a grateful heart. Sing along and worship with them . . . and let it take you a little deeper in your own journey.
Share this with a friend you miss after church elbowing your way into their group conversation. Chances are, they miss you, too 🙂

What a beautiful song – sung beautifully. I wish we had a ‘love’ button. It’s so good to remember all the good things God has allowed in our lives, and that our speech – especially to our own self – is so powerful.
Wow!!! That was really nice. I miss you all so much. Thanks for sharing that beautiful song with us. So thankful that the Lord put us together to be able to share these times with each other. I love you.
