We did it! Thanks for showing up and binge-reading with us this week.
We’re happy to spend another day with you on The Bridge, and we’re filling it with more memories and blessings. Be excited! Don’t let the world influence your view of the good things of God. He’s so much bigger, better, and deeper than any of us can imagine.
Brother John is topping off the Riverside Meeting Mini-Marathon with highlights and energy from that April meeting that will propel you into the Connersville General Meeting next week—on a strong foundation ready to continue building what God is doing.

It can be very difficult to summarize a general meeting of God’s people into one particular “theme”. However, it was very evident that the Lord had impressed upon Brother Nobles’ heart to instruct and edify the people towards God’s righteousness. Not only what the definition of it is, but also how that we must increase our desire for it. How much you desire something is proven out by how hard you’ll work to obtain it.
As the true ministry of the Body of Christ, each minister felt that same impression on their heart to remain in the same vein.
When You Come Together in the Name of Jesus
Before moving on, I have to say that the Body of Christ in general is an amazing group of brothers and sisters of all ages and from several different locations. Plain and simple, we’ve been taught well how to get the job done. It’s amazing to me over and over again that when there are needs in the church or jobs that need to be done, it just happens. This meeting was no different. People came together in the name of Jesus and everything was taken care of. Special appreciation goes to Brother and Sister Bean and the Church at Riverside for being great and very hospitable hosts.
You can definitely feel a special move of God through the Spirit, teaching, attitude, music and worship, and fellowship.
Clean Up the Inside First
In this meeting we learned that righteousness isn’t something you just polish up the outside with, but it goes much deeper than that. The desire, or hunger and thirst for it, has to come from within the heart. Individually, if we clean up the inside, the outside will shine a great light.
Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men’s bones, and of all uncleanness. Matthew 23:37
We are learning that our righteousness has to go beyond the “self-righteous” attitude that the scribes and Pharisees had.
For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 5:20
It is my prayer that when God-called people come in among us they’ll feel the love of God, see a people that are truly desiring and working toward His righteousness, and realize that this is none other but the house of God!
And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the Lord is in this place; and I knew it not. And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven. Genesis 28:16-17
Who Else is Counting Down for Connersville?
If moving up higher in the Lord is something you desire, please join us when we reconvene in Connersville, Indiana on July 25-28, 2019.
If you were in the Riverside meeting and remember, then you’ll understand why I used “reconvene”. If you were there and do not remember, or you weren’t able to make it, there are DVDs available. Don’t miss out.
Let’s exhort each other more and more as we see the day approaching.
Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching. Hebrews 10:25
I look forward with excitement to seeing you!
